GENDER DIFFERENCES IN THE TACTILE BEHAVIOUR (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ENGLISH "EVERYDAY" ANECDOTES)

Abstract. The article is devoted to investigating gender differences in the non-verbal communication. Analysis of the English "everyday" anecdotes allows identifying the peculiarities in the tactile behaviour of men and women. The author analyzes the following means of tactile behaviour of men and women: handshake, kiss, embrace, pat, touch and stroke. While communicating the women use non-verbal means of communication more frequent than men.
