THE ROLE OF SELF-GUIDED WORK OF STUDENTS OF THE HUMANITIES IN THE FORMATION OF KEY COMPETENCES IN THE STUDY OF A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Abstract. In the article the content of the concepts "core competencies" and "competency" which become more widespread in the process of updating of the content of higher education and training of specialists in a higher education establishment is revealed. The author focuses on the types and forms of self-guided work of students of the Humanities in the formation of key competencies in the process of teaching of a foreign language.
