LEXICAL REPRESENTATION OF THE CONCEPT "QUALITY" IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE BY THE MATERIAL OF ELECTRONIC DICTIONARIES

Abstract. The article examines the quantitative parameters of representation of the concept "quality" in the dictionaries. The authors pay special attention to the use of the new methods of studying the language and linguistic representations, such as electronic dictionaries allowing conducting research on the big data bulks. As a material for the research the authors chose the units of the English language taking into account the distribution of the words according to the parts of speech. The paper analyzes the adjectives on all the linguistic characteristics which the functions of the electronic dictionaries allow.
