Sumgait State University

Abstract. The article considers the implementation of the category of intensity at the syntactic level. The degree of implementing the category of intensity in phrases, sentences, modified sentences, members of a sentence, simple and complex sentences is determined. The research shows that the indication of intensity is present at different levels of the language (lexical, morphological, phraseological), including the syntactic level. Adverbial modifier of degree relating to the members of a sentence has the qualities of gradation. Complex sentences play an important role in the expression of the category of intensity by syntactic methods.
Key words and phrases: интенсивность в словосочетании, интенсивность в предложении, интенсивность в членах предложения, синтаксическая синонимия, степень минимализации, intensity in phrases, intensity in sentence, intensity in members of sentence, syntactic synonymy, degree of minimization
