Abstract. The article aims to identify ethical and esthetic dominants in the evolution of the Kabardinian poetry of the post-Soviet period. The paper focuses on the problem of diversification of the value system forming in the specific ethno-poetical area in the context of the all-Russian cultural and historical space. The author also examines the role of a striking creative personality in the evolution of the national artistic consciousness.
