FORMATION OF LEXICAL SKILLS IN TEACHING TRANSLATION OF PROFESSIONALLY-ORIENTED TEXTS IN NONLINGUISTIC HIGHER EDUCATION ESTABLISHMENT

Abstract. The article considers the questions of formation of lexical skills in teaching translation of professionally-oriented literature for students of nonlinguistic specialties of higher education establishment. Particular attention is paid to the terminology of scientific and technical texts and work with the special-purpose vocabulary. The systems of lexical exercises as well as the mastering of the theoretical foundations of scientific and technical translation contribute to the development of students’ lexical potential.
