PRECEDENT PHENOMENA FROM THE SPHERE OF MUSIC IN THE LANGUAGE OF THE ENGLISH MEDIA

Abstract. The article reveals the content of the notion "precedent phenomenon", which is becoming increasingly widespread in the sphere of linguistics; and puts the question of what functions the phenomenon under consideration performs in the texts of the English media. The author pays particular attention to the analysis of precedent texts and precedent names from the sphere of music, which is an integral component of the cognitive framework of a language community.
