Abstract. Studying the sublanguages of chemistry, development and systemic description of their vocabulary is of great theoretical and practical importance. The article examines the principles of developing terminological vocabulary of chemistry, describes different terminological systems and their constituent subsystems forming the sublanguage of chemistry, analyzes their lexical structure from the viewpoint of forming different terminological combinations and their realization in the scientific speech.
