SPECIFICS OF TRANSFERRING OCCASIONAL EXTENDED PHRASEOLOGICAL METAPHOR (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES)

Abstract. The article examines the ways to transfer occasional extended metaphor from English into Russian and from Russian into English. The research aims to identify the adequate means to transfer occasional phenomenon preserving the intention of the author. The special attention is paid to the following aspects: author’s intention; types of occasional transformations promoting the formation of an extended metaphor; specifics of occasional context and structure of the languages under analysis.
