SPECIFICS OF SYMBOLIC COLOUR TERMS IN THE FOLKLORIC AND LITERARY TEXTS

Abstract. The article focuses on the richest material of oral folklore and examples of Balkarian fiction by the example of which the authors examine the problem of national specificity in the perception and interpretation of the symbolic filling of colour. The content of the paper in the comparative aspect illustrates the dominant perception of colour in the mythological consciousness of a nation (by the material of folklore) and subjective author’s original interpretation of colouristics in the Balkarian literature.
