VENICE OF I. A. BRODSKY IN THE MIRROR OF LITERARY CRITICISM

Abstract. This article deals with some key issues that have been revealed in modern literary criticism, studying the Venetian text of I. A. Brodsky. At this stage, the attempts to identify the nature of interaction between Venice and St. Petersburg loci in the poet's creativity have been made, as well as the key images forming Venetian world-text of the writer: image of mirror, image of water, image of lyrical hero and others have been identified. However, the conducted research cannot be called comprehensive.
