ON FORMATION OF LEXICAL STRUCTURE OF THE ENGLISH-LANGUAGE INTERNET COMMUNICATION

Abstract. The article is devoted to understanding and analysing the methods of forming the English vocabulary of the Internet communication. The author pays particular attention to such methods of word formation as affixation, combination of words, compounding, reduction, contamination, transformation of phraseological units, and so on. The analyzed data lead to the conclusion about the dominant trends in the functioning of English vocabulary in the language of the Internet communications.
