INTELLIGENTSIA’S DESTINY IN L. E. ULITSKAYA’S PLAY "RUSSIAN JAM"

Abstract. The article analyzes the intertextual connections in L. Ulitskaya’s play "Russian Jam". The paper primarily focuses on the urgent problem of our time, too - the destiny of the intelligentsia, referring to Anton Chekhov’s creativity. The results of the study suggest that the dialogue with the Russian classics contributes to the understanding of the contemporary reality.
