EMOTIVE PHRASEOLOGY IN THE DRAMA BY A. F. PISEMSKY "A BITTER FATE"

Abstract. Applying to A. F. Pisemsky’s play "A Bitter Fate" (1859) is conditioned by its special status in the history of new Russian drama as exclusively social drama. The article analyzes emotive phraseology verbalizing the emotional state of the three main characters - peasant Ananii Yakovlev, his wife Lizaveta and landowner Cheglov-Sokovin. The nuclear phraseological fields typical for their speech differ which allows identifying the personages’ attitude to each other, discovering the dominant of their characters and author’s central idea on how the Russian life is totally distorted by serfdom.
