DIALOGIC AND MONOLOGIC SPEECH SITUATIONS WITH AN EMPHATIC "ACTUALLY"

Starodumova Elena Alekseevna
Far Eastern Federal University

Abstract. The article examines discursive word "actually" in the different speech situations - dialogic and monologic speech. The author shows what speech situations require the meaning of confirmation which this word bears. If in the dialogue the use of "actually" is easily explained by the type of the remark (stimulus or response) then in the monologic speech the situations provoking the use of this word require special analysis. The researcher identifies five types of speech situations conditioning, to the speaker’s opinion, the necessity to confirm.
Key words and phrases: дискурсивное слово, речевая ситуация, диалог, монолог, субъект речи, говорящий, адресат, discursive word, speech situation, dialogue, monologue, subject of speech, speaker, addressee
