IMAGES-SYMBOLS IN THE MARI STORIES ABOUT THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR

Abstract. For the first time the article deals with the Mari stories about the Great Patriotic War in the aspect of figurative poetics being topical for the Russian and regional literary study. In it the system of images-symbols is reconstructed, their semantic structure is revealed. Key literary functions in the works are determined.
