DEVELOPING FUTURE ENGLISH TEACHERS’ REFLECTIVE SKILLS WHEN TEACHING LISTENING

Abstract. The article considers the problem of developing reflective skills when training English teacher at the pedagogical higher school. In this connection the author describes the essence of pedagogical reflection and proposes an algorithm to implement it. By the example of teaching listening skills the researcher analyzes the use of prompt questions to develop reflective skills step-by-step. This promotes the formation of auditory strategies and professional competences of a future English teacher.
