TRADITIONS AND INNOVATION IN CREATIVE WORK OF FRANCISCO DE SA DE MIRANDA: RECEPTIVE ASPECT

Chernov Anton Vladimirovich
Lomonosov Moscow State University

Abstract. The article explores the history of the perception and interpretation of the creative work of the poet Francisco de Sa de Miranda in the context of the tradition of Portuguese, Soviet and Russian literary criticism. The main purpose of the paper is to restore balance in perception of the Portuguese poet, who came in the history of literature long ago with numerous references to him only as an innovator, forerunner of a new literary tradition, intermediary between Portuguese and Italian literatures. Meanwhile, a closer look at the genre structure of Sa de Miranda’s heritage encourages us to conclude that continuation of the national literary tradition originating in the Middle Ages was also significant for the Portuguese poet.
