SEMANTIC COMPONENTS OF THE CONCEPT KNOWLEDGE BY THE EXAMPLE OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the examination of phraseological units with lexemes associated with different types of knowledge as key words. Phraseological units are understood as formed speech stereotypes, reflecting the stereotypes of the everyday worldview. The analysis shows that the phraseological units with the word feel demonstrate the empirical way of cognition, and the emotional component; faith, belief, trust correlate to the concept of truth and the features of character; wisdom is presented as sacred and everyday wisdom; mind embraces emotions, intentions and background knowledge.
