LINGUO-STYLISTIC PECULIARITIES OF FORMING NATURE IMAGE IN THE EUROPEAN GOTHIC NOVEL (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE NOVEL BY E. MARLITT "THE COUNTESS GISELA")

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the functioning of the linguo-stylistic means taking part in the formation of the image of nature in the novel by E. Marlitt "The Countess Gisela". The metaphors expressed by verbs prevail in the work. The peculiar feature of E. Marlitt’s style is the writer’s epithets. Making use of similes and metonymy E. Marlitt conveys her attitude to the objects of nature.
