DEVELOPMENTAL DYNAMICS OF RADIAL POLYSEMY: ITS FACTORS AND CONSEQUENCES (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE IDIOM "BAHNHOF VERSTEHEN")

Abstract. The article discusses the problems of phraseological polysemy in the German language, in particular, one of its developmental forms - radial polysemy. Moreover, the paper provides an analysis of the factors promoting new lexico-semantic phraseological variants and the possible consequences of such extension of their nominative possibilities. The important distinctive feature of the research is the use of the written German corpuses.
