THE PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF COGNITIVE GRAMMAR WHILE LEARNING THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE ANALYSIS OF THE CONSTRUCTIONS WITH THE VERB BE

Abstract. The article presents an attempt of working out a new approach to the studying of grammatical constructions of the English language based on the analysis of combinations of meanings of words entering them. The method of defining the meanings of constructions with the verb be, which corresponds to regulations of the cognitive grammar, is suggested. According to the author, it contributes to the perception of grammatical speech and thought schemes of a foreign language, facilitates and accelerates the process of achieving its integral perception and free reproduction.
