THE CONTRASTIVE DESCRIPTION OF RUSSIAN AND THAI COMMUNICATIVE BEHAVIOR (ON THE BASIS OF THE RESULTS OF THE QUESTIONNAIRE SURVEY)

Fedotova Nina Leonidovna, Sakornnoi Katika
Saint Petersburg State University

Abstract. This article deals with the comparative description of Russian and Thai communicative behavior. To overcome the effect of "rejection" of the foreign language culture it is necessary to have accurate information about the ethno-psychological peculiarities of students. On the basis of the analysis of the results of the questionnaire survey of Thais and Russians the author identifies the similarities and differences in some parameters of communicative behavior of the representatives of two different cultures. The conclusions allow focusing on those parameters that affect the success of teaching Thai students to use the strategies of communication in the Russian language.
