THE LEXICAL COMPONENT IN THE SET EXPRESSIONS DENOTING WOMAN'S INTELLIGENCE IN THE RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH LANGUAGES

Abstract. The article deals with the lexical peculiarities of set expressions of the Russian and English languages, denoting woman’s intelligence. The superordinate and subordinate lexemes with positive and negative connotation are identified and analyzed. The studied material is subdivided into the lexical-semantic groups according to the verbal (lexical) component. As a result of the analysis the author singles out a number of most frequent lexemes involved in the formation of the intellectual image of the woman and gives the statistical data.
