LINGUO-SOCIOCULTURAL ASPECT OF COLOUR TERMS (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE COLOUR TERMS WHITE, BLACK, RED)

Abstract. The article discovers the role of colour in the life of a human being, society, nation and focuses on its symbolic fullness. In this connection the author examines three colour terms ("white", "black", "red"), explores how they represent the national and cultural peculiarities of reality phenomena in speakers’ consciousness and how the symbolics of colour terms manifests itself in the language.
