PROJECTION OF AUTHOR’S CONSCIOUSNESS AS THE MAIN FEATURE OF AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL CHARACTER OF I. S. SHMELYOV’S NOVEL "SUMMER OF THE LORD"

Abstract. The article reveals the content of the notions "author", "author’s consciousness" that formed in contemporary domestic literary criticism. Particular attention is paid to author’s consciousness projection in I. S. Shmelyov’s autobiographical novel "Summer of the Lord". The author concludes that the work presents a "double" vision of the world that is shown to the reader, on the one hand, through the eyes of a naive, pure child, and on the other hand, through the eyes of a wise man, an adult, a talented writer.
