"LINGUISTIC CLUSTER" AS A MEANS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF EXTINCTION OF LANGUAGES OF THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES OF THE NORTH

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of extinction of languages of the indigenous peoples of the North residing on the territory of Tyumen region and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug. The authors examine linguistic cluster as an approach to language teaching based on the conception of immersion into the language environment while educating younger generation. The paper concludes that linguistic cluster is one of the efficient means to solve the mentioned problem.
