TERMINOLOGY OF THE ENGLISH CORPUS DISCOURSE: METALINGUISTIC DIFFERENCES AND INNOVATIONS

Gvishiani Natal'ya Borisovna
Lomonosov Moscow State University

Abstract. The article deals with the terminological innovations reflecting new approaches in the study of the computer-corpus data of "Global English". The introduction of international web resources allows identifying additional perspectives in the study of speech samples differentiated on the basis of the territorial-dialectal and genre-stylistic principles. In the conditions of developed international contacts such notions as "multilingual practices" get new comprehension, as well as normative use on the basis of the English language that is a means of interethnic communication. In the development of the functional-communicative types of the corpus discourse it is very important to distinguish between meta-language (research discourse) and language-object represented by virtual linguistic data, the selection of which is based on strictly determined contextual and semantic criteria.
Key words and phrases: английский как lingua franca, глобализация, корпусный дискурс, дискурсивные стратегии, многоязычные практики, межкультурная коммуникация, иностранные слова, функциональная стилистика, дискурсивные жанры и регистры, English as lingua franca, globalization, corpus discourse, discursive strategies, multilingual practices, intercultural communication, foreign words, functional stylistics, discursive genres and registers
