SYNTACTICAL MEANS OF EXPRESSIVENESS (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ENGLISH PRESS)

Abstract. The term "expressiveness" for a long time attracts the linguists’ attention because it is one of the key aspects of language existence. The paper examines the term "expressive syntax", identifies the most frequent syntactical means of expressiveness chosen from the English newspaper articles. The authors try to systematize the syntactical means according to their frequency.
