TRANSFORMED PHRASEOLOGICAL UNIT IN CREOLIZED TEXTS: PRAGMATIC ASPECT (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE MODERN MASS PRESS AND INTERNET PRESS)

Abstract. Analyzing the examples of transformed phraseological units use in the creolized texts of the modern mass press and Internet press the author comes to the following conclusions: attempts to create such texts often end with communicative failures since they lead to the distortion of the author’s intentions; the addresser’s use of iconic and verbal components, especially in the presence of a transformed phraseological unit, may lead to the achievement of his/her strategic goal only if the combination of these components is consistent.
