CINEMATIC CODE IN THE NOVEL BY IAN MCEWAN "ENDURING LOVE"

Abstract. This article discusses the use of cinematic techniques in contemporary literature by the example of I. McEwan’s novel "Enduring Love". The author studies in detail the implementation of the technique of montage at the microlevel (the linguistic semantics of sentences) and at the macrolevel (composition) of the literary text. According to the author, I. McEwan refers to the montage narrative technique in certain episodes of the plot. The conducted analysis is completed with the conclusion about the function of the montage poetics of the text as an element of its cinematic nature.
