Abstract. The article analyzes the semantic structure of mental vocabulary of the Buryat language on the basis of database of dictionary entries. The leading group of synonymous nouns, having the meaning of "mind" (the synonymous series under consideration consists of 14 lexical units) serve as the material for this examination. Special attention is paid to the lexico-semantic variants, their quantity for each word, and the positional hierarchy of meanings.
