DENOTATIONS OF SALT-MARSHES IN THE LANGUAGE OF THE BARGA OF NORTHEAST CHINA

Abstract. The article is devoted to the orographic terms with the meaning ‘salt-marsh’, represented in the toponymy of the Barga living in the urban district of Hulunbuir of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the PRC. Among the considered terms with the meaning ‘salt-marsh’, the nomination of five of them is based on visual perception of the geographical reality, two - on the taste perception, and one term is borrowed from the Chinese language.
