CREATIVE HERITAGE OF THE TURKMEN POET MAKHTUMKULI IN THE HISTORY OF TATAR LITERATURE

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying the creative heritage of the Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli-Fraghi, his influence on the Tatar modernist poets whose works appeared in "Shuro" magazine and its supplements-poetical collections in 1908-1918. Among the Turkic Sufi poetry Makhtumkuli’s poems were published under the pseudonym Firaki, i.e. Fraghi (Turkmen variant), the authorship of his poems was ascribed to the anonymous Tatar poet of the beginning of the XX century. Analyzing these poetical works the researcher provides the facts proving their authorship. Makhtumkuli’s poems appeared to be in tune with the poetry of the Tatar symbolist poets headed by poet-publisher Dardemend.
