Abstract. This article examines the features of the morphological system of the Finnish version of the English language - Finglish at the present stage of the development of the Finnish linguistic-cultural society in the USA and Canada. The aim of the article is to examine the prerequisites of the changes in the basic grammatical categories of words of Finglish in the diachronic aspect. The results show that the Finglish native speakers’ speech is characterized by nominative nature, with a predominance of nouns that have appeared as a result of the interaction of American English and Finnish. A characteristic feature of the contact language Finglish is laconism and informative presentation of the phenomena of the reality.
