Abstract. The article analyzes the lexical, grammatical, syntactical and stylistic means that make up part of the strategies of the militaristic discourse of the political elite used in political discourse (by the example of the discourse of F. Hollande). The author assumes that due to their identification it is possible to define the ideological and value orientation of the militaristic discourse of a politician. To achieve this goal, the study uses the methods of critical, quantitative and functional analysis. It is proved that the discourse of politicians contains a number of strategies and grammatical-stylistic means for the implementation of the manipulation of public opinion and constructing the necessary geopolitical reality.
