ON PART OF SPEECH BELONGING OF PARTICIPLES IN LANGUAGES

Rezunova Mariya Vladimirovna
Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (Branch) in Bryansk

Abstract. The article highlights the problem of part of speech belonging of participles in the Russian, English and German languages. Classical grammars, linguistic works devoted to participle, problems of transitivity and syncretism are considered, and lexicographical representation of participles in explanatory dictionaries of three languages is analyzed. The results of the research show that in Russian philology the solution of this problem is associated with the development of the issues of participles transitivity into other classes of words. In Germanic philology there is a tendency to simplify the approach to the determination of the morphological status of the participle.
Key words and phrases: причастие, статус причастий, неличная форма глагола, гибридная глагольно-именная форма, лексикографическое представление причастий, participle, status of participles, non-finite form of verb, hybrid verbal-nominal form, lexicographical representation of participles.
