THE ROLE OF THE CATEGORY OF MOOD IN REALIZATION OF POSSIBILITY/IMPOSSIBILITY MEANINGS IN THE CHECHEN AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES

Abstract. In the article the analysis of the forms of moods in the Chechen and Russian languages is carried out in the comparative aspect. The brief description of the formation and functioning of the studied category in the compared languages is given. The basic means and constructions used in statements with the semantics of possibility in Russian are singled out, the examples expressing the similar meanings are analyzed, and the issues of functioning of various forms of moods in the Chechen language are considered.
