ON THE QUESTION OF ATTENUATING MEANINGS OF THE PREFIX ПРИ-

Abstract. The article is devoted to the attenuating meanings of the prefix при- in the Russian language. During the analysis the theoretical propositions on the basis of the methods of cognitive modeling and principles of triadicity were used. These approaches allowed postulating a common configuration characteristic, inherent in all attenuating prefix meanings, which can be defined as reachability. By numerous examples the author shows that the meaning of attenuation is directly related to the understanding of the situational impossibility of reaching the limit - the configuration that provided the basis for the cognitive model of the prefix при- .
