SEMANTIC MODELS AND SEMANTIC OPPOSITIONS IMPLEMENTED IN THE CORPUS OF THE ENGLISH TERMS OF THE SPHERE OF FINE ARTS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the semantic modeling of terms of fine art. Studying the semantics of the term helps in most detail to reveal the laws of terminological derivation, to understand in what communicative situation one or another term is applicable. Within the framework of semantic modeling the following components of the semantics of the term are distinguished: core, periphery and auxiliary area. Along with the semantic models, semantic oppositions realized in terms of fine art, which reveal the meaning of the term from the point of view of the paradigmatic relations between them, are considered.
