THE CONNOTATIVE FEATURES OF VOCATIVES IN THE DISCOURSE

Abstract. The paper examines vocatives expressed by emotional-expressive vocabulary. The study is executed by the material of such differently structured languages as Russian, Chuvash and English. Special attention is paid to the semantic, syntactical and morphological means to express emotional evaluation. The author analyzes meliorative and pejorative vocative statements. A comparative linguistic analysis allows identifying their common and ethno-specific features.
