THE METHODS TO CONVEY THE EVALUATIVE VOCABULARY IN THE TRANSLATION OF TEXTS OF DIPLOMATIC DOCUMENTS

Abstract. The article deals with the features of diplomatic discourse. The notions of diplomatic discourse and political discourse are given. The authors define the specificity of functioning of the evaluative vocabulary in diplomatic discourse. Diplomatic discourse is considered from the point of view of the possibilities to convey adequately the given layer of vocabulary from Russian to English. The frequency of the use of translation transformations when translating evaluative vocabulary is determined.
