ON THE ROLE OF GRAMMATICAL MEANS OF EXPRESSION IN A LITERARY TEXT (BASING ON THE NOVEL "THE GREAT GATSBY" BY F. S. FITZGERALD)

Abstract. The article raises the question of the need to study the aesthetic significance of grammatical means of expression in a literary text, which determines its full-fledged perception. The objective of the research is to show the participation of various grammatical morphological forms of such significant parts of speech as nouns, verbs and adjectives, as well as the morphological structure of the word in the rendering of the author’s intention and providing the necessary literary influence. The aesthetic function of grammatical units is revealed with the help of the method of a linguo-poetical analysis, which is conducted by the material of F. S. Fitzgerald’s novel "The Great Gatsby".
