LINGUISTIC FEATURES OF FILM ADVERTISING AT THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY IN THE CONTEXT OF ADVERTISING DEVELOPMENT IN RUSSIA

Abstract. The article studies the features of Russian advertisements in film industry on the basis of newspapers and magazines of the beginning of the XX century. The author describes the language characteristics of this group of texts and the linguistic and psychological methods of persuasion and manipulation used in them. The features of cinematography advertising as a fundamentally new phenomenon in the society are analyzed. Also, the connection of this group of texts with the already established traditions of advertising in Russian newspapers is traced. Special attention is paid to the advertising techniques conditioned by the specificity of cinematography work in Russia in the period under review.
