CREATIVE RELATIONS OF DZHALIL MAMEDKULIZADE AND THE KARABAKH INTELLIGENTSIA

Abstract. The article analyses the creative relations of the Azerbaijani literary intelligentsia in the 1920-1930s and concludes that at the beginning of the XX century, the Azerbaijani literature entered a new developmental stage called critical realism. The author examines the basic activity trends of the Karabakh literary school influenced by the conceptions of Mirza Dzhalil Mamedkulizade. The Karabakh spiritual and ethical environment was focused around the city of Shushi where the level of cultural development promoted the formation of national musical and literary intelligentsia. Interrelations contributing to this process are revealed.
