POETICS OF A. KRIVOSHAPKIN’S PROSE

Abstract. The article examines the contribution of the national writer of Yakutia A. V. Krivoshapkin to the development of the Even prose and the Northern peoples’ literatures on the whole. A. Krivoshapkin is a prominent prose writer, author of historical, social-psychological and philosophical novels. The writer aims to describe the life of his compatriots and to reconstruct their history. Ethnographism, folklorism and historicism of his works constitute the originality of the Even novel. It is shown that the novelist reconstructs the Even national character, psychologically convincingly reveals the image of a modern human.
