COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF DISAGREEMENT EXPRESSION MEANS IN THE ENGLISH AND CHINESE LANGUAGES

Abstract. The objective of the article is to identify and systematize the main characteristics of disagreement in the English and Chinese speech. The relevance of the choice of this topic is conditioned by the increased interest in the study of speech acts of disagreement in multi-structural languages. For the first time the authors present a semantic-pragmatic analysis of the examined direct and indirect speech acts of disagreement in the English and Chinese languages using examples of fiction. The results show that in most cases you can hear indirect initial replicas in the Chinese speech acts of disagreement; the British use both direct and indirect speech acts of disagreement.
