NEW PHRASAL VERBS FORMATION IN THE MODERN ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying new English phrasal verbs, which are formed according to the productive analytical derivational model "V+Adv". The authors examine lexical fullness of this model at the modern stage of the English language development and identify different linguistic and extra-linguistic factors that lead to the formation of these neologisms. The paper analyses cognitive processes and mechanisms, which influence new phrasal verbs formation, examines their semantic and functional characteristics.
