IMPERATIVE MOOD, CONDITIONAL MOOD AND SUBJUNCTIVE MOOD IN THE INGUSH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article examines the verbal category of mood in the Ingush language. Relying on the structural-semantic analysis the authors conclude that there are eight verbal moods in the Ingush language and identify the moods, which have no tense forms. The analysis indicates that imperative mood has no tense forms but has five forms formed with suffixes. All the imperative mood forms can have negative meaning. Conditional mood and subjunctive mood also have no tense forms but they are classified into types and categories according to their meaning.
