Abstract. The article attempts to describe the lexical representation of the semantic category "one’s own" by means of a verb. The American texts of socio-political orientation (2015-2016) covering the armed conflict in Syria have served as the language material. The results of the research are the verbs identified by the authors, their lexical-semantic group distribution and the authorial model of the semantic category "one’s own" (represented by verbs), which consists of eight components - lexical-semantic groups singled out according to the results of the study.
Key words and phrases: "свой", глагол, модель, информационно-психологическая война, вооруженный конфликт, Сирия, "one’s own", verb, model, information-psychological war, armed conflict, Syria
